About art shows . . .WOW! has an interesting history of art shows which is detailed below, but let's start with the here and now. WOW! is excited to begin planning its first virtual art show via this website in the 2022. Many art organizations went to an online art show format with success in 2020 and 2021, and WOW! is ready to make use of the wonders of technology to digitally display the current works of our members for friends, family and the larger community of neighbors and artists to enjoy. Come back to this site to learn about all the details.
WOW! presented its first fine art exhibition in September of 2010 entitled “Painting Our Passion.” Held at The Tualatin Heritage Center, the show included over 20 artists and approximately 150 original paintings. It was written up in the Oregonian and attended by hundreds of people and created quite a buzz! Over the last ten years, WOW! put on gallery style “friends and family” art shows and a few bigger ambition shows like our "Falling For Irresistible Art Show." In addition to shows WOW! has organized, our members enter art shows sponsored by local and regional art organizations such as the Keizer Art Association, Oregon Society of Artists, and the Watercolor Society of Oregon. For the future, the virtual art shows WOW! puts on via the internet will showcase the talent in our group and perhaps attract other artists to join us. We are excited that these online art shows will be less physically labor-intensive and more broadly visible to the art-loving community. |

Demos, Classes, Trips and Art Retreats
Members see each other in art classes at the Tualatin Heritage Center; at the Oregon Society of Artists in Portland; at workshops with coordinated by Watercolor Society of Oregon; at the Sitka Center on the Oregon coast, and at other sites around the Northwest.
In addition to painting together and sharing stories, members take little excursions to scenic places for inspiration...our excursions take us to art galleries and museums, flower gardens and festivals (Woodburn Tulip Festival and the Lavender Festival for example) and to shows of interest.
